The design is quite elaborate. It consists of 38 large capacity pumps sucking water from 20 meters in depth and 380 fountains on both sides. All of these pumps reach a pumping capacity of 190 tons of water per minute. In addition, they create 43-meter-long water strips blending in the arc shape horizontally and down the Han River. Moreover, the bridge includes meticulous lighting system with 10 thousand LEDs hanging on both sides of the bridge. Their length is up to 1140 meters, creating 200 different color blocks.
At night, when Seoul is at rest, the fountain system will operate, displaying exceptionally spectacular shows. The fountains dance according to the music, with the light system from both sides of the bridge lighting outwards, creating a soft, wavy and fanciful rainbow.

When and How To Get The Banpo Bridge & The Rainbow Fountain
Water and light dance performances occur on the scheduled the time daily including 12 am, 20 pm, and 21 pm. At weekends, there is an additional show at 21:30 pm. However, the time may change in the rainy season and the information of the festival will be on the Seoul official.
